What’s that? A waffle stand? Hell yes. Cover the thing in chocolate, yeah shake some powdered sugar on it, trade it to me for some of these coins. Best food ever." I was expecting amazing beer, but those waffles were heaven. Thanks for the great read. Now I need some lambic... oh wait, I have some from my trip to the Cantillon Brewery! Score! But especially sharing a few drinks with Urbain at Struise. The feeling one gets of being in that environment, the flatlands of West Flanders the agricultural landscape, the hospitality of Urbain and all on the farm, and finally the beers always leave me with a feeling that this is the best place in the world, it is very special and I am so lucky to have done it a few times, net alone have done it at all. Also your article demonstrates that Belgium is really a small country and you can easily cover Brussels to Poperinge with a few stops along the way, in just a day. I've not been to the bar in Asse, so that is on my list for doing next time I'm in Belgium (late October). Thanks for bringing back some wonderful memories.
